John has been working in the dive industry for over 20 years, spending all of his time between the cool waters of the Chesapeake and the sunny coast of Ft. Lauderdale. John has been diving for 20 years and has been a volunteer diver for the National Aquarium in Baltimore for over ten years. John loves to get away and dive the Florida Keys and North Carolina wrecks where he indulges his passion of fish collecting for the Aquarium. John has a business degree from Barry University in Miami and extensive experience in the dive industry. He has traveled extensively throughout the world checking out dive sites and can answer most of your dive travel questions. |

Trevor enjoys all kinds of different diving, having started his diving career in the cold northeast waters around Boston, later moving to the warm waters of the Florida Keys and finally settling here in Maryland. Trevor spent time in the Florida Keys working as a marine science and snorkeling instructor, and loves to spend his time underwater lobstering and spearfishing. |

Chris Temples Chris started his first dive career after getting certified in 1982. Over the next five or six years the classes continued to come one after the other. What started as Open Water training soon turned in to Advanced, Rescue and a handful of specialties that include: Search and Recovery, Deep, Wreck, Night, River and Equipment Specialist. Then while just short of finishing his Dive Master program he started what would be a twenty year surface interval. Fast forward those twenty years, Chris found Atlantic Edge. Soon after starting as a dive consultant and working in the dive shop full time, he decided to go through the Dive Master program again to finish what he had started all those years ago. Now with Instructor in his sights, and additional training desired, he plans to make diving the career that he dreamed about thirty years ago. |

Matt Portland
Matt spent most of the late 90s volunteering in Australia's wildlife parks, zoos, public aquariums and oceanic research stations. After working in the reptile hose at our National Zoo, Matt spent time in the Galapagos. He returned to start his own business installing and maintaining custom aquaria. New to the dive industry, Matt is working at the shop and hopes to complete his Divemaster training by the summer and soon thereafter, become an instructor. |
