How Much Does Scuba Camp Cost?
The registration fee for Scuba Camp is $795. This includes all materials, instruction, and use of all scuba gear (bc, regulator, tanks, weights, mask, fins, snorkel, wet suit)
What Are the Ages for Campers?
The minimum age to participate in camp is 10 years old. Generally campers are between 10 and 15 years old, but if you have a camper older than 15 that would like to participate we would love to have them!
Is Scuba Camp an overnight camp or a day camp?
Scuba Camp is a day camp. It’s a 4 day camp from 9-4 Monday-Thursday. Staff will remain until 5 to accommodate late pick ups.
What Payment is due When?
We are currently accepting registrations with a $100 ( non-refundable ) deposit. Once registered, we will send you a packet of information including options for paying the registration fee balance. Balances will be due no later than 60 days from the start of the first day of your camp. After the full balance is collected, it is non-refundable. Campers’ will receive an the e-Learning online email to begin the home study portion.
Can Kids That Are Already Certified Participate in Scuba Camp?
Yes!! Scuba Camp is a great way for kids, even ones that are already certified, to get in the water, have fun, learn more, and meet other kids with similar interests. We encourage kids that are already certified to join us for camp.
How Long has Atlantic Edge Been Running this Camp?
We are proud to announce this is our 10th summer we will offer Scuba Camp.
Does Atlantic Edge Provide Rides, Lunches, etc.?
Atlantic Edge cannot provide any transportation for campers. We will provide drinks and snacks for campers but all campers should plan on bringing personal lunches. We will have coolers for campers to put lunches in the morning when they arrive.
How Can I Sign Up?
We are currently accepting registrations online. If you could like to sign up, view the schedule on our Scuba Camp page, and click the ‘register’ button next to the camp you would like to have your camper attend.
Will Campers Become Scuba Certified?
Campers at least 10 years old and who meet the minimum requirements as set by PADI will receive what is called a ‘referral’, which means they will complete all their class work and pool work for their Open Water Diver Certification*. All campers have to do next is complete four Open Water Training Dives with an instructor and they will be fully certified. Atlantic Edge has training dives going on all summer, with local options in Northern Virginia and Westminster, MD, as well as in Fort Lauderdale FL. Campers can also take their referrals with them on their next vacation and complete their dives with any instructor almost anywhere in the world.
