If you're looking to get your checkouts done sooner than later, join us for a weekend of checkouts at Mt. Storm in West Virginia. Mt. Storm is about 3 hours away and it offers a great opportunity for winter diving, as it is warmed by a nearby power plant. Water temps stay dive-able (still cold, but dive-able) all year round!
Accomodations are somewhat scarce up in the area, but in the past we've had a great time staying at the Abrams Creek Campground (http://www.abramscreek.com/) - it's cheap and always a good time.
