Africa Trip - Manta Ray Dives
We will spend 7
nights on Praia do Tofu in lovely, beach-side chalets, breakfast
and dinner included. Also included each day are 2 dives (for a
total of 12) and more can be purchased on site.
Tofu Beach (or Praia do Tofu as it's known to the locals) is an easily
accessible beach village about 460km north of Maputo and about 30km out
of the town of Inhambane. It is a small coastal hamlet centred on
tourism and fishing.
It is also the southernmost point on the East African coast that was
frequented by Arab traders, which only adds to the wonderful cultural
mix to be found in the architecture, food and customs.
The beach is a broad expanse of clean sand and it is safe to swim
there. This spot is reputed to have some of the best surf on the
Mozambique coast.
